A head teacher has thanked businesses who have donated furniture to a primary school.

Bromet Primary School in Oxhey has received several lorry loads of goods from businesses across London.

So in the school's library are some new and comfortable office chairs and a sofa at reception. The school also has some new tables and chairs.

The donations came via the charity scheme Business2Schools, which helps rehome office furniture that is no longer needed.

Fremantle, the TV production company behind Britain's Got Talent, donated desks, and the furniture now in the school reception and library.

Russell Reynolds has donated some white furniture while Houlihan Lokey contributed pine furniture.

Head teacher at Bromet Primary School, Maria Pace, said: "The generosity and kindness of firms supporting Business2Schools is amazing. It is helping schools replace and refurbish furniture and tech with fabulous quality things that offices no longer need.

"The children are delighted that a bit of Britain’s Got Talent and the X-Factor are in their classroom. How wonderful to know that Simon Cowell has probably sat in the Bromet reception chairs."
